Tweed Knit Hats
This collection of handknit hats was inspired by Harris Tweed yardage, homespun woollen yarns, Gansey knits 1920's fashion, and collections of vintage ribbons and trims. These "tweed" hats are knit with 2-3 strands of yarn in varying colours to mimic a tweed effect, and feature simple patterning through decorative use of purl stitches. A ribbon from my vast ribbon collection has been threaded through them and they are blocked into a "cloche" shape in mimicry of hats popular in the early part of the 20th century.
